What is Enso?

Enso, more often known as El Niño, is a climatic event that occurs every three to seven years. This is due to the rise in the Pacific Ocean temperature and changing surface pressure. Predging when the next ENSO event occurs may be difficult, but there are a number of early warning signals such as increased surface pressure above the Indian ocean. The ENSO event can be seen worldwide, with floods, drought and other weather events. Extreme changes in weather and climate samples can also affect local trade and industries in many countries.

The full name for ENSO is the southern oscillation El Niño. When ENSO occurs, the Pacific Ocean temperature increases. This is merged with the change in the Pacific surface pressure and this combination that causes the effects of the weather. The definition of this event is when the sea warms at least 0.9 ° F (0.5 ° C). A similar event La Nina happens when the sea cools down the same amount. When ENSO appears, it can cause weather changes around the world for the period of approximatefor 12 months. However, this period of time can range from a few months to two years and is difficult to predict how long a particular event will last.

There are a number of initial warning signals of the El Niño event. Some of them include rain in Peru deserts, which is caused by a warm climb of air in this area and a measurable increase in pressure above the water in the Indian ocean. The pressure above the waters in Australia can also increase. Some regions, such as the Central Pacific Ocean, may experience a reduction in air pressure.

ENSO event effects can be serious. Asia and Australia regions will often be exposed to a large number of precipitation. This is due to lower air pressure above areas of warm water that causes the rising of humid air and leads to heavy rain. South America will also usually experience heavy rain. Other consequences include drought in parts of Africa and weather changes in northern AMErice.

People and industries are often directly affected by ENSO. For example, a fisherman in some regions may be more difficult to continue his store. The reason is an event that causes lack of nutrients in water, leading to a reduction in stocks. Along with floods and drought, this impact on the local industry can be extremely harmful and expensive.
