What is Evensong?
In the Catholic Church, monasteries and monasteries recognize special daily times for prayer. These times of prayer are traditionally found seven times a day. Vespers and Complin close the canonical clock in the evening.
Bishop Thomas Cranmer created a divorce from Catherine of Aragon for the British King Henry VIII. When the Pope refused the request, Henry made his world breaks with the Catholic Church. Cranmer followed his king and subsequently compiled the Anglican liturgy in the book of a common prayer. Knowing that it would not be political to look "too Catholic", but the recognition of people who were used to praying in the canonical clock, Cranmer joined the evening prayers of Vespers and end one act of worship: Evensong.
Evensong, "evening song" is called or sings daily on most cathedrals. Basically, thank God for the day just the past and asks his protection during the coming night. It is a quiet, reflective set of prayer, songs and psalms, asking worshipers to be in spirit.
form for Evensongmay vary, but usually follows the book of common prayers in responses, offered psalms and antiphones. The service generally opens up with the responsible praise of God: the previous one. Then he is often sung by a magnify (Mary's song from Luke 1: 46-55), followed by NUNC Dimittis (Simeon's song from Lukas 2: 28-30) and Psalm, such as Psalm 67. The anthem sings and prayer is listed. Believers are then sent to serve.
Reading fonts from a daily lesson are also included in the service Evensong, along with the apostolic religion. The liturgy can be deducted or added, depending on which form of service is used in this church that day. The book of common prayers and common worship have a different form of Evensong, but both are beautiful and meaningful for Worshi.
Christian Church as a whole has always felt useful to pray morning and evening, and the service of Evensong helps Christians to close their days silent reflectionEm and gratitude to God.
