What is foam insulation?
Foam insulation is a type of insulation that is sprayed into walls or small, difficult to reach places. Although it is more expensive than polystyrene and glass fiber insulation, which is installed in leaves or blocks, it is more efficient in places such as attic, where there may be unfinished walls or ceilings. Good, fixed home insulation is decisive for reducing accounts for heating and cooling and preventing damage to humidity and pests.
polyurethane foam is mixed with water and then under pressure from the pneumatic pump under pressure. When mixed with oxygen from the air and water, the foam expands and in a few minutes it solidifies and heal. The volume of dry spray foam is five to ten times greater than the volume of wet spray foam. Spray foam is also accepted. This allows it to spray it under the floor without first heading to the floor, and it is much easier to apply to ceilings than the leaves of insulation, which must be glued or stitched.
Insulation of polystyrene and glass fibers cover small holes, but will not be more harmful. The insulation of spray foam extends to fill the slot and can be applied to places where other types of insulation cannot be achieved. Foam prevents not only the entry of hot and cold air, but also insects, rodents and other pests and water. Spray insulation is used in new houses during construction, but can also be used in existing buildings for insulation of places that old glass fiber insulation cannot achieve or in slots that have developed with a seated structure.
Unlike polystyrene or glass fiber insulation, the insulation of spray foam is air and waterproof. Because it extends to the fulfillment of the place where it has been sprayed, it creates an airtight seal that prevents or out the air. Hot air cannot be mixed with cold air and to create condensation inside the walls, which stops the mummy of moisture that may eventually cause walling the walln.
Spray foam insulation is generally used in conjunction with glass fiber or home insulation of polystyrene. It must be applied by a professional for extensive tasks, because if too much is used, it can burst walls or crushed pipes and an inexperienced user can end up with foam insulation bulged at undesirable places. However, the sets are available for DIY work, which, however, make small repairs around the house.
