What is freefally?

Freefinging is a parachutist made using any or any combination of three flying axis (role, pitch and filming). The common position of Freefly's body is:

  • Sit Flying
  • tracking
  • head down
  • stand up
  • Flying the abdomen

(note that although the abdominal flying is included in the definition of a free feeling, strictly the abdomen on the earthly parachuting is not considered a "freefly" jump). While in the standard position "Boxman" (abdomen on the ground), the level of descending descent remains after an initial acceleration of approximately 120 miles per hour (193 km/h). Changes in the construction of the overalls and the weight of the parachutiver affect this rate of autumn usually not more than 10 miles per hour (16 miles/h) more or less. For example, Freeflier could dive straight, head down on the ground using legs and arms to adjust orientation and speed and remain stable. In such a position, Freeflier can get up to 170 miles per hour (270 km/h). Freefliers may exceed this speed but generally only developsI force special efforts streamline their body and its equipment or jump from a higher altitude. Joseph Kittinger reached 614 miles per hour (988 km/h)!

Freefliers often jumps in groups of two or three. Each Jumper uses a second as a relative reference to help assess their own trajectory. Together they can perform acrobatic maneuvers, connect with each other (dock) or simply photograph or video tape in Freefall.

Position

Freefly, except the abdomen on the ground, tends to be less stable . This means that they require increased skills and concentration from Skydiver to maintain. Since changes in position, intentional or other, they may also cause a change in terminal speed, freefliers must be jumping with other special care. Freefliers, who has control of his diving, can securely make contact (dock). Unstable freefliERS can experience rapid speed changes and knock each other at high speeds. These speeds can disassemble, deactivate or kill one or both jumpers. As a result, free flying is considered to be more risky than flying flat or abdomen.

Despite the increased difficulties and danger of this type of skydiving, the Skydiving community is growing rapidly in popularity. Manufacturers of the rush of serum equipment to modify the designs of their devices to support the special needs of freefliers, illustrate this growing popularity.
