What is Furcraea?

Furcraea is a genus of plants that is part of the Agavaceae family. It contains about 12 types of succulent plants that come from Mexico, Central America and South America. Most species have characteristic blue-green leaves that are arranged in the ground and greenish colors. Many of these plants are ideal for landscapes in areas susceptible to drought. The problem that gardeners encounter when working with these species is chlorosis, which is premature yellowing of the leaves.
