What are gravitas?

with its origin in ancient Rome, Gravity is seen as one of the basic virtues that men will be expected to have the right role in society as part of the performance. Together with Pietas and Digitas, Gravitas formed the basis for expressing all other basic virtues.

As a Latin word, it is understood that gravitas embodies several free attributes. It is generally understood that gravitas means dignity, duty and seriousness. All three qualities were considered important in a male personal deport and were often used as a means of determining where the boy could correctly claim to have achieved his majority and could be considered a person in a psychological and physical character.

Gravitas was often closely associated with Pietas and Digitas. Pietas also included a duty, with the feeling that this duty would strengthen cheerful devotion. Pietas has to do with the devotion of the gods and also the devotion of the trodine of birth, especially the father. In addition to this devotion to the gods and family withE Pietas also expanded to the government and the wider community, because both were understood to function in favor of the gods and as part of the extended family.

Digitas was understood to include ideas such as value, dignity in style, status in society, and the amount of respect awarded by men and community. With an element of gravitas associated with officers, this combination was seen as respect for standing in a society that was considered to be serious responsibility and privilege.

As part of a triad, which demanded a public personality who would be serious, dignified and correct in the district of defined companies, Gravitas was considered. Without the quality of the depth of personality and the serious judgment, which was understood as essential for the virtue of Gravitas, the man would often slip into a slightly less desirable position in society, which in turn would adversely affect his children's position in KOmmutnitě.
