What is junior varsity?

Varsity Team consists of the main members of the sports team, which will usually represent a university or high school at sports events. Varsity contains basically the strongest players and usually consists of students at junior or higher levels at universities and secondary schools. On the other hand, the Junior Varsity is a group of second players of the second place who have not yet gained enough experience to play at the Varsity level. They are usually newcomers and Sophomore athletes who eventually move up to the position of Varsity.
