What is Ophiopogon?

In the Kingdom of Plants, the family Ophiopogon belongs to the Liliaceae family or the Lily family. There are approximately 50 species in the family, and most of them are perennial, which usually bear thick spikes of flowers similar to lily or bell on stiff, upright stems. Previously, the botanists group them as Mondo and the name of the family is in some literature, especially older books.
