What is Paradisea?

paradisea is a genus of flowering plants from Louk southern and Western Europe. The genus contains two species - paradisea liliatrum , which is commonly called the Lily St. Bruno, and paradisea lusitanicum , which is commonly called Paradise Lily. Both species have pointed green leaves and high stems that develop fine white flowers during late spring and early summer. The separation is creeping stems that usually lie under the ground and the roots hatch that grow down and shoots that grow up. Each plant develops a high central stem surrounded by a circular cluster of slender leaves similar to grass. The leaves are green or grayly green in color and have a fleshy texture. Like most flowering plants paradisea develops small dry fruit capsules that contain seeds.

flowers develop along the high main stontabs into the main stem with a short stem called pedikel. Flowers form and bloom from the bottom of the stem towards the growing tip. Flowering stems rLibra to a height of 1-5 feet (0.3-1.5 meters) and can have up to ten flowers. The petals can fully open and spread, giving the flower a stellar shape. When petals are only partially open, flowers appear as trumpets or bells.

st. Bruno's lily or paradisea liliasstrum is known from two types of paradisea . It is originally from the grassy Louk southern Alps, the mountains in southern central Europe. Paradise Lily, or paradisea lusitanicum , comes from Portugal. This species differs from its sister in that it is a smaller flower tips for yellow colors for its white petals. It also has connecting pedicors, while Lily St. Bruno has unintentized pedicels.

both species can be grown in full sun or partial shade, but work best in wet and rich organic soils. Their flowers bloom from the end of spring to early summer, thickeningAnd until May to June in the northern hemisphere. These permanent plants are frosty and reduces above -ground vegetation and die after exposing frost. Underground rhizomes lie in winter sleeping, but when warm weather returns, resprout. Plants can be extended by distributing rhizomes during an early part of the sleeping period or planting seeds harvested from fruit capsules.
