What is a parody?
Parodia is a genus of a plant family cactoideae or cactus. Sizes and shapes may vary, but usually parodies begin as smaller spherical cacti, with some species having the ability to evolve on a somewhat higher, cylindrical shaped ones. More than 50 different types are included in the parody.
The genus is named after the Argentine biology Lorenzo Parodi. parodium are originally from certain areas of South America. You can find them in Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina.
Parodies are covered with backbone. Their outer spherical surface is usually ribbed, each of which hatches a set of thorns. It is possible that some species of parody grow in height, but they are not their standard behavior. The average size parody will have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and will have a globos.
The former family Notocactus was merged with parody at the end of the 80s. International Organization for Supeculent Plant Studies eliminated ROD Notocactus and began to classify the species before Notocactus with those who were a parody of . This was completed against the great opposition, although both families were often grouped before the official merger.
Parodia Arnostiana is an example of a former type Notocactus . arnostiana are known for the production of bright yellow flowers. They are a small type, 1.5 to 2.5 inches (4 to 6 cm) tall and about 1.5 to 3 inches (4 to 8 cm) in diameter. These cacti are originally from Brazil.
Another former Notocactus is a rare parodium bubiningii . Bubining is spherical, like other parody , and hatches a lively yellow flower, which often appears almost white due to color brightness. Instead of a spiral ribbed formation of another kind of species has bubining thin columns that rise longitudinally on cactus tThey slip out of very small areols and spine.
The common choice for the selection of rooms has the types of parodium Leninghausii harmless spine and grows yellow flowers as an adult. They are commonly referred to as lemon balls or cacti yellow tower. This particular species is susceptible to increased longitudinal growth and begins its life like other parody as a small spherical plant and grow up to 3 feet (about 1 meter) in height.
parodies are a popular choice for horticultural gardening enthusiasts. Like most cacti, they require minimal maintenance, although more than some other types of cacti. The key to proper care is not excessive enforcement of cacti. They should be sparingly connected from spring to autumn and will usually require small to no moisturizing winter months. It is proposed that natural rainwater be collected and used to water a parody . In flowering, more water is needed and the cacti must be kept in direct sunlight in a dry environment.
