What is pearlite?

Perlite is a form of naturally occurring rocks composed mainly of silica oxide. The rocks are light and are full of tiny cavities that hold moisture. One of the primary uses of Perlite is the soil for aeration and detention. Its structure also allows aeration in growing media. This combination provides a healthy environment for many plants. The sterile weed environment provided by the substance is very good for rooting cuttings. Its potential hydrogen (pH) is neutral that has a small or no impact on soil acidity or alkaline.

in areas where the soil is heavy clay, often helps to penetrate into the plants, prevents standing water and surface crusts and provides roots of insulation to prevent damage to extreme temperature changes. Vegetable and flower gardens can be extended by mixing pearlite and peat moss into cultivated soil. A similar mixture can be used in planting trees or shrubs. Because the media does not deteriorate, such benefits usually last for several years. MA light weight and facilitates movable pots and pots. While the mixture helps the soil to maintain moisture, flower pots usually need more frequent watering than in the garden.

Some gardeners prefer to strengthen the soil with vermiculite. The vermiculite is a mineral composed of alumino-filicate clay. It is sterile, holds three times its volume in water and attracts nutrients. When mixed with the soil, the mixture pushes together, reduces air flow and captures water that is useful for plants loving moisture. Because it is an additive on the clay, tobude needs to be replaced as it falls apart over time.

vermiculit and pearlit can be used together. Perlit will maintain good aeration and drainage while vermiculite provides good nutrient retention. Both can be mixed in the same parts or modified according to a particular garden or pot.

Interestingly, the pearlite is also used in the construction kEnsuring insulation with free filling. It can improve fire evaluation and reduce noise transmission. Resistance to rot and pests makes it an attractive choice for builders. Sky silica can also be used in industrial applications as a filter medium. Cleans, varnishes and soaps can include them as an abrasive component. It can also be used as a high -performance filler for multiple sources, including plastics and cement.
