What is Artemisia Powis Castle?

Powis Castle Artemisia is a woody, evergreen plant. This type produces silvery-green leaves with a greener shade in spring and summer, which changes silver during the colder months. Artemisia Powis Castle is not grown for its flowers, which rarely occur, but for its leaves that have an unusual color and strong aroma. It grows briefly, thick hills up to 3 feet (1 m) tall and up to 6 feet (2 m) in diameter.

There are about 400 species of Artemisia and Powis Castle is actually a hybrid variety. It is assumed that this is a cross between arborescens and artemisia absinthium . As a hybrid variety Powis Castle Artemisia does not create viable seeds, so new plants can only be made from stems chains or by distributing roots of ripe plants. Flowers are rarely produced and if the seeds are used from these flowers, there is a considerable chance that they will not germinate. If the seeds germinate, the result will be the Secohhybrid ND Generation that is most likely unstablewith negative properties. Powis Artemisia Castle can tolerate most types of soil and still thrive in areas with high humidity, high summer temperatures and hard frost periods. It is also tolerant of a dry season, but is not tolerant of waterlogging periods. This supports a number of root rot infections.

Powis Castle Artemisia is susceptible to a significant number of bacterial and fungal diseases such as fungi, rust, leaf spots and root companies. If it is maintained in good general health, this species is less likely to take care of infection. Gardener can minimize the risk of fungal and bacterial infections by regularly removing dead leaves and plant substances from the area around the plant, because diseases and insects may sleep in the dead garden.

This species is also susceptible to attack from bile intermediaries and aphids. Gall Midges are small, hairy worms that turn into mouchy when they mature. Electing on the stems of Powis Artemisia, Gall Midges, causes the leaves to cook and die back. The feeding places are open infection and disease, and if it is not treated, the plant may die. For lovers of this kind, this can be a serious problem, because the seed is not available and plants are often difficult to find and quite expensive.
