What is punk rock?

While the world danced and sang with Abba, small groups of rebels, some were called Ramones, sexual pistols and clash, shaking things in the relevant areas with something called rock and roll, but rock writers called "punk rock".

Punk rock was the opposite of everything that was popular. It was fast, undressed, a machine gun weapon that attacked, fired a place and left anyway. The sounds of the garage-punk punk affected grunge, while the experimental party affected bands like Duran Duran to take advantage of some chances of instrumentation. Women in Punk aroused a new wave of girls' groups - even bands like Courtney Love's Hole or Babes In Toyland.
