What is the Shag carpet?

Shag Carpets are a fiber -based carpet that has piles that are somewhat less dense and are composed of longer individual springs than other carpet designs. Shag Carpets and Rugs were developed as a deep carpet style in a pile in the mid -20th century and in the sixties and early 70s. While many people consider the Shag carpet to be relics of the past, the fact is that long yarn design designs are alive and well in the 21st century.

There are two properties that cause the Shag carpet to excel from other types of carpet and carpets. The first is the length and configuration of individual carpet yarns that are used in design. Along with longer parts of the yarn, the fiber is also twisted in free design, rather than in a close design that is used with short loop carpets. The released reversal is combined with the pattern of the tklobouk space of the individual backyards further away from each other thanin conventional custody. As a result, the appearance of the Shag carpet is somewhat like the appearance of a part of the grass that allows blades or strands to lie in different directions.

Although there is no doubt that Shag Carpet does not have the same level of popularity a few decades ago, the style of the carpet remains popular enough to be offered by a number of main carpet manufacturers. Consumers can see Shag carpet samples in many home stores and also order directly from a number of manufacturers using online sites. Shag carpet prices tend to run to the same extent as any quality of the carpet.

Today, Shag Carpet is offered in three different types. The consumer can opt for a long Shag, Short Shag and Mini Shag. Long Shag is similar to the length of Shag, which many people remember from the sixties, while Short Shag follows the same design, but about half the length. Mini shag is jEN slightly longer than a standard pile. Generally, today's Shag carpet is offered in solid colors, unlike multicolored designs of past times.
