What is shuffleboard powder?

Shuffleboard powder allows the puck to slip smoothly and fast across the board. As a lubricant that is not liquid, shuffleboard powder reduces the friction coefficient on the surface, which means that two objects such as a puck and a laminated plate are not easy to stick. It is made of small beads of slippery plastic type, which allows pucks to slide as if hovering in the air. The first step would be to clean and polish wood or laminate to remove gravel, dirt, sweat and oil. But if you still feel that your strikes need this special touch, evenly and lightly sprinkle some shuffleboard powder. This is because the increase in speed sacrifices control. If you find that the puck flies so fast throughout the field, it looks like a blur, you can try "slow" wax. When you need this speed increase, upgrade to "fast" wax. These assessments are not universal but some brands name some mixing "third most slow" or "second fastest" shuffleboard powder to provide youy means for comparison.

This free powder resembles talc, corn starch or confectionery, but is made of miniature, perfectly round balls of silicone. The powder is usually sold in a cylindrical vessel reminiscent of a can of powder bleach of cleaning agent. The range of holes on the top of the metal allows you to shake powder so that it is evenly distributed over the table. Store it in a dark and dry place.

Shuffleboard is a game in the Carom family, which extends to the 15th century. Shuffleboard powder is only the latest technological innovation that will reduce friction on the board. Other experiments included many layers of thin varnish, polished and vibrant waxes, laminates instead of wood and liquid varnishes.
