What is the slate?

In order to understand the creation of a rock we call Slate, we must first travel back over several billion years. As volcanic lava flowed across the ground, overheated clay deposition mixed with ashes. This mixture eventually dried up in layers, similar to slate, but noticeably heavier. Slate can be divided into boards and these boards can be divided into thin leaves.

SLATA has been used for many applications over the years. One common use is the natural form of roof shingles. Individual shingles are manually carved from the main plate and sold to roofers and suppliers. The tiles are arranged under several layers of tar and sealant tar. Slate shingles are desirable for their natural durability and heat absorption, but individual shingles can become fragile. Compared to other modern shingle materials, they can also be relatively expensive. These tiles are generally strong than roof shingles, so it is not so likely to break or throw away. Is knownthat tiles have an irregular shape, allowing some creative applications.

Another common use for slate is located in a recreation field. Because the boards can be ground to absolute flatness, as a base for billiard and pool tables is often used slate. The plate is tailored to the dimensions of the table and is made as modern as possible. The green felt layer is then glued to the upper part of the plate to ensure the playing area. The slate tablet is by far the most difficult element of the billiards.

Perhaps the most common slate application has existed since our childhood. A relatively smooth but granular surface is ideal for use as a board. The old -fashioned board was generally black and noticeably heavier than today's green plate. Individual students often carried small pieces of slate to demonstrate their skills. The creators also used tablets to record vital information about nAttacked scenes. The assistant holding the album and Klapper would write the number of shots, the scene number, the title of the film and the name of the director. The sound of the clapper would later be used to synchronize the sound with the scene.
