What are high flags?
High flags refer to the category of team competitions between high school and possibly collegial corkscrews and artists of color. High flags also refer to the real flags themselves - they are the longest style of flags used for competition. During the competitions, different categories are usually included in the assessment and include high flags, short flags, pom, novelty, show and more. Similar to high school and university sports, the teams for drilling and teams of colorful guardians compete in various divisions based primarily on the size of the school. For example, a routine of high flags can use the following rules: using flags with employees greater than 3 ½ feet (1.07 meters) in length, the use of flags must be at least 75 percent of routine and the routine must take at least two minutes and a maximum of three. Although this is an example of a partial set of instructions for competition for the category of high flags, various state championships could differ rules.
The competition of short flags also has similar sets of rules, but requires the use of short symptoms or symptoms less than the minimum length assigned to high flags. There may also be other categories including high flags depending on the scope of the competition. Different categories in which teams of colored guards or drill teams perform with flags, sabers and rifles are assessed differently on the basis of which skills the team is competitively exhibited. For example, lyrical flag competitions are usually assessed by choreography and movement rather than using flags, even if the flags are still used.
As far as the general rules of competition concerning the competition of the drill team or color guard differs from division to division and state to the state. High tiles can be incorporated into the routine of the team by spinning, throwing, increasing and reducing and incorporating them into the show itself. For routine performances, short and high flags increase the performance of the team, making it more visually attractive to their audience.
