What is the teak veneer?

Teak veneer consists of a thin layer of teak, tecton Grandis , laid on a stronger substrate. It is often used in situations where a solid teak was once used, such as furniture, floors, lining, deck of ships, cars and interiors. The veneer is even used for inlays on music instruments.

Although a solid teak grown in the wild is still available, ecologically responsible buyers prefer to buy a teak that has been grown in managed forests. This reduces rainforest damage in the world, so the biodiversity is maintained and global warming is limited. The purchase of responsibly adults and harvested teaks and veneers also ensures that logging money is not used to finance terrorist groups or trade in illegal weapons. Like diamonds, Teak is a valuable source and the money it produces is easy to divert. Veneer allows you to use small amount this decision wood to cover large surfaces. Using veneer of coursealso reduces the cost of a finished object or structure.

Teak veneer is shaved from large protocols. Each piece usually has 1/8 or 1/16 inches (0.3 cm or 0.2 cm). This veneer can be purchased in bundles cut out of the same protocol, called selitches, or can be purchased for a substrate for easy installation. The installation of veneer is usually matched by a wooden grain.

TEAK TEAK CARE is almost the same as care for a solid teak. In some places, such as the floor, teak sealant should be used to protect the wood surface. In other places, oils can be used for use with teak to polish and protect the item. Teak can be gently washed, but should be quickly dried.
