What is cinnamon?

Cinnamon Teal is a common name Anas Cyanoptera , a type of duck known to amateur ornithologists and hunters. The duck is originally named from North and South America for the characteristic feathers of the seasonal horizon of the male, which has a bright red feathers and rainbow blue and green feathers. These ducks belong to the category known as Dabbling Ducks, which bob along the water surface to feed on shallow vegetation.

The species is divided into several subspecies: northern cinnamon gray -green; Tropical cinnamon; Borrer's cinnamon, which is considered extinct; Andean cinnamon gray -green; and Argentine cinnamon. Unlike other types of ducks, members of the Anas Cyanoptera maintain separate breeding populations. Northern type associates only with other members in North America, for example, while the tropical type connects only with other ducks in South America. Breeding takes place during the summer months.

As with most ducks, feather women are less tough than a man. Females are spotted baRva brown with a lighter blue spot on the wings. Women of the species are very similar to the blue -winged -green ducks, but the color saturation is in cinnamon gray -green. Males in the period without breeding and immature ducks resemble women.

Measurement between 14.2 and 16.9 inches (36.06 and 42.92 centimeters) and weighing only 9.9 to 17.6 ounces (280,66 to 498,95 grams) for both sexes are members of the Cyanoptera . Despite their small figure, women are able to lay between six and 12 eggs per season. After mating the female builds nests in tall grass or reeds and the nests are lined down and discarded feathers. The eggs are whitish in color with pink tones and in about three weeks.

Cinnamon Teal Duck are not monogamous, although they maintain relationships with their partner for so long, if it takes a successful incubation of eggs to hatch. Chickens learn to fly at the age of one to two months. Ducklings leave the nest shortly afterwards because of the fastmigratory habits of bird.

Anas Cyanoptera migrates all kinds in the approach of winter. The northern type becomes Mexico and Central America, as well as some tropical birds. Argentine, Andean and other of the winter type of tropical type closer to their breeding in South America.
