What is "Lute player"?
"The Lute Prayer" is an old Russian fairy tale about the captured king and his queen, who will save him. It is also the name of the oil painting created around 1600, the Italian Baroque master Caravaggie. Another painting of the perzio gentileschi, which was assumed that it was painted between 1612 and 1620, bears the same name.
Russian fairy tale Lute tells the story of a happily married king who was bored and wanted to look for adventure. He called his army together and went to a distant country to defeat the pagan king, who tortured everyone in his reach. The king was captured and sent his queen the word for help. She was afraid to go, for fear of being captured. The Queen did not know who to trust, so she masked as a lute player, and enchanted the evil king with her music. He said she would give her what she wanted, so she chose the king and brought him home.
The Caravaggio Painting, The Lute Player, depicts the person of the unno -sex wn with full lips, soft features and brown hair. He plays a lute and sings a love song. Caravaggio namAlval three versions of the Lute player. One is listed at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia, one in badminton House, Glechestershire, in the UK and the third in the Wildenstein collection in the United States. The Badminton House version was discovered later than others in 2007.
Badminton House and Hermitage versions depict a marble table in front of a lute player, with violin, notes, fruit and flower vase on the table. Wildenstein's painting shows a recorder, notes and spintu on the table with a carpet. It is assumed that the model could be Castrato named Pedro Montoya, who sang in the Sistin Chapel. Some people believe it is Caravaggi's companion, Mario Miniti because it was identified in other paintings is Fortune Teller and Cardsharps.
The artist Orazio Gentileschi painted the oil on the canvas girls with a tissue in front of the table. This painting is also called lute and seems to be inspired by Caravaggio's image. MentionsLeschi's painting is depicted by a female musician from behind and her head turned. There are several musical instruments on the table. The table holds Cornetto, violin, recorders and notes, almost the same as Caravaggio.
