What is trachyte?

TRACHYTE is an extractive igneous volcanic rock. Evluzia refers to ejecting a rock from the ground during the eruption of magma, and Igneous concerns the rock that solidified and later cooled from the lava. Its texture can be gently grain or rough. Trachyte is primarily composed of minerals that are rich in alkaline elements. Cooling is sometimes so fast that small beads of glass are formed in trachyte.

These volcanic rocks consist mainly of a sadidine feldspar. Feldspar refers to a grouping of minerals that consist of aluminum, potassium, sodium and calcium and these minerals, which form almost all crystalline rocks. These rocks usually have very small steam cavities that tend to make the surface irregular. Trachyte can often have ongoing strips or stripes due to flow lines of stiffented lava. Although rare, quartz may also be present in the rock.

The rock trachyte is generally considered to be a porphyritic Naturee. This means that they can be dotted with considerable crystals in differentfinely textured mass. During the tertiary period they are found in significant numbers. This geological term applies to the period ranging back from 2.6 million years to 65 million years. Trachytes are commonly found in Europe and especially in the German district of the Rhine.

These volcanic rocks are sometimes rich in silica and people are used since Roman times. They spill color from Fial to pink to gray and were used for tiles, even sculptures and even furniture construction. Venetian Square St. Mark is actually paved with trachyte. Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa, as well as Mt Erebus in Antarctica, are examples of trachyt volcanoes.
