What is Vitex extract?

For the treatment of female diseases, several herbal agents are available. Vitex extract is one of these dietary supplements. Vitex capsules can be used to treat premenstrual symptoms, breast pain, menstrual cycle problems and other problems.

Vitex extract comes from the fruit chaste. European women are also known as the chasteberry extract, often used to treat premenstrual discomfort. It has been used for thousands of years to treat such diseases, and it was once assumed to reduce human libido.

Strong bleeding, such as hypermenorea, lack of monthly bleeding, continuous bleeding, tenderness, bloating, anxiety, fatigue and many other symptoms, this traditional medicine can be eased. Some doctors prescribe extract to treat uterine fibroids. This was also used to treat lactation problems.

Many symptoms that women experience can be caused by hormonal imbalance. Vitex supplements are supposedly helping to regulate hormones such as progesterone, prolactin andestrogen, through the stabilization of the pituitary. Although not approved by the US food and drug administration, several other countries, including Germany, approved an excerpt for this use.

The most common form of Vitex extract is the capsule. The standard dose is one to three capsules a day, usually with each meal. However, patients who use supplement should follow the recommended dosage of their doctor when taking herbal drugs. It may take up to several months for this medicine to be reflected. In addition to the form of the capsule, the extract can be obtained as a tincture or powder.

Some side effects of Vitex may occur. The most common side effects include stomach pain, convulsions, fatigue, headache, acne, hair loss, increased menstrual blood and diarrhea. If serious side effects are developing, such as an allergic reaction or difficulty breathing, stop using Thje medicine and immediately get medical attention.

People who use any form of drugs or who have allergies of any kind should consult a doctor before accepting this herbal axle. Women who treat, pregnant or can conceive should not take Vitex extract. People who use mainly dopamine agonists should refrain from using this supplement. Drugs for contraception may be an inefficient supplement. Women who do not want to conceive should use a different form of contraceptive in the use of Vitex extract.

This medicine should be held outside the heat and reach of children and pets. To achieve the best results, it should be stored in a dry, cool place. The supplement should also be held away from direct sunlight.
