What is volleyball?

Volleyball is the Olympic and NCAA Sport and a game that people play on inner courts and outside on playgrounds and beaches and in the garden. Volleyball was invented in 1895, only four years after the invention of basketball. The inventor was called William G. Morgan. He called the Minttonette and created it to include aspects of basketball, baseball, handball and tennis.

Today, the usual volleyball game can be summarized as follows. Two teams placed on the opposite sides of the net and with six players on each side use hands and arms to hit the ball from one side of the court on the other through the net. Each team is trying to make volleyball touch the ground at the boundaries of the enemy team and try to send it over the net and prevent the ground from touching their side. Before the ball reaches the air space of the enemy team, only three touches are allowed to the side.

The operator's team continues to serve if the score is done if the ball drops to the ground on the enemy side before it can be hit over the net. Scoringgets a single point. If the team of the serving team fails to score the ball by falling to the ground within its borders, it could not intervene through the net in three attempts, or hit it over the net but outside the boundaries, serves for the other team and no point is scored by one team. Players alternate their positions clockwise when they receive service from the second team.

Volleyball has undergone many changes as it evolved. The net ranged from 6 feet 6 inches (1.98 m) high to more than 7 feet (2.13 m): 7 feet 11 5/8 inches (2.43 m) for men and 7 feet 4 1/8 inch (2.24 m) for women. Common teams play with men's height. A special ball for volleyball sport was developed in 1900.

Set and Spike are attributed to players in 1916. The following year, the scope of volleyball game was set with a reduction1964 in Tokyo.
