What is White Clover?

White Clover, also known as Trifolium repens, is a flowering weed found in the United States. It is often planted on pastures, but also grows wild on many lawns. This plant is characterized by small white flowers with a light yellow center on a dark green stem. The leaves are in the shape of a heart and come in clusters of three or four. Can be found in clusters on the lawn or open field. When it comes to width, if it remains uncontrolled, there is a tendency to spread this plant, so some white clover spots can be quite large. Nevertheless, it generally appears several days along the grass cut. The plant can become a sleeping or die in the autumn, but the following spring appears again if the lawn is not chemically treated.
