When is the Hydrangea season?
Hydrangea season generally occurs during the warm months, from the middle of the lane to the end of the summer or early autumn. The tendency of the plants in warm weather causes them to bloom earlier and longer in warmer climate, such as the southern United States. The flower period also depends on the exact type of hydrangea.
There are many different types of hydrangeas. Five popular species include moophead, Lakecap, Annabelle, Oakleaf and Peegee. These types are differentiated by their color and shapes of flowers. Mocheads are a common type of hydrangea and are usually blue or pink. The Annabelle variety has large, white flowers and is a very resistant plant.
Hydrangea is permanent plants, which means that during the hydrangea they bloom year after year, provided they receive proper care. Plants are similar and relatively large, and should therefore be grown only outdoors or in a greenhouse. They should be planted in a place that has morning sunlight and afternoon shadow. More Sunlight is needed throughout the day in the northern, colder climate.
The Hydrangea season can last in a hot climate at the end of autumn. Hydrangea Peegee is doing best in a hot environment, so it can be the most suitable diversity of the race for southern places. Moofead and Lacecap breeds are not suitable in hot weather. No kind of hydrangea will not be well in full shadow, even during the height of the hydrangea season.
care and maintenance of hydrangeas is relatively minimal. Shrubs do not require regular pruning unless dead stems are present. For the production of new flowers in the following year, the pruning of dead stems may be beneficial because some types of hydrangeas bloom best in the "old wood" from the previous Hydrangea season. Pruning should be carried out in the middle to the end of summer, not at the end of Hydrangea, because the new flowers for next year could have been created and could be the pruning unintentionally cut off.
professional in the garden center canTo help determine which types of hydrangeas will best prosper in the climate in which one lives. Using fertilizers once or twice during the Hydension season can help keep the plant healthy. Plants need moist soil and can be grown from seedlings inside and then transferred out in the spring when the seeds begin to take root. Most Hyntension seed packs include detailed growing instructions and can again offer a professional in the garden center to advice on when and how to establish a new race for hydrangeas.
