Who is Steve Young?
Steve Young, a descendant (great-grandfather's grandson), leader Mormon Brigham Young, is a award-winning quarterback and probably one of the best he has ever played a football game. His superior athleticism in 2005 won him a place in the Football Hall of Fame and his thirteen years as a Quarterback for San Francisco 49ers certainly got an honorary place in the hearts of many fans 49ers. His success as a Quarterback, especially with the total strength of the 49er team in 1987-1999, led him to three Super Bowls. He won the first one to play as a starting Quarterback, Super Bowl XXIX and was named the most valuable player. Young had impressive performances at Greenwich High School, academic and athletic. In his junior year he became the starting Quarterback and also co -authorized basketball and baseball teams. He graduated from the High School of 4,0, at the peak of his Sterling's participation in sports and his strong commitment to the Church of the last day (Mormon). Every morning he attended classes of religion before the start of school and atLetické practice.
It seemed natural that Steve Young was visiting Brigham Young University, although his athleticism certainly meant that other colleges were looking for him. His work on Byu was so impressive that he also won a place in the college football hall of fame. After college, Young signed up with the new football league of the United States in 1984. Unfortunately, the league was doomed to fail and played only two seasons.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, part of the National Football League (NFL), took Young in 1985, but the team had a terrible season and won only two out of sixteen games. Young's performance did not help. He had only 55% record of completion of the passage and its capture to the touch ratio was 2-1. In 1987 he was traded to San Francisco 49ers to serve as a backup to Quarterback Joe Montana, and his career seemed to be unusual.
injury to Montany in 1987 and 1988 knownENALO that Steve Young had opportunities to submit as a quarterback, and when he had the opportunity to play, he used it well. In 1987, Young led the team to win 41-Zip over Chicago Bears and showed up just as useful in the 1988 game against Minnesota Vikings. Another Montana injury in 1990 made a Young starting starting Quarterback for the 1991 season. Although it got a rough start, the season has completed a record rating. Yet there was still doubts about his ability to start and lead the team, especially because Steve Bono's deposit did so well in the first five games.
Young even approached trading in 1992, because it was assumed that Montana could be well enough to start again. Instead, the recovery for Montana was slow, and Young became a Quarterback starting and got 49ers in play -off. Montana was traded in 1993, which many 49er fans really despised, to the Chiefs of the City of Kansas City, so MlaThe smoke of the starter remained. In 1995, Young made his early promise very well, took 49ers to Super Bowl and won.
Although Steve Young has set other records, many consider 1995 to be its most successful year. 49ers did not get to another Super Bowl led by Young and in 1999 Young left. Although his last years have not won the 49ers years, his record like Quarterback is amazing. His assessment of his career is still the highest, although Peyton Manning can eventually catch him and his percentage of his career passage 64.3% is the third highest. He is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks who play the game, although people argue about where it should be included.
After retirement, Steve Young finished his title J.D., he worked as a spokesman for Toyota & Reg;, and now works as a sports analyst for ESPN. He married in 2000 and has three children with his wife Barbara Graham.
