What is the abdominal body?

The abdominal body is the central part of the pancreas organ. It works with the rest of the pancreas on the production of digestive enzymes, insulin and glucagon. Pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer are the most common diseases of the pancreas.

On the left side of the pancreatic body is the tail of the pancreas. The pancreas body contacts blood supply, superior mesenteric artery, abdominal aorta, kidney, kidney vessels and left adrenal gland on the back or back. On the front or front, the body of the pancreatic contacts the space between the abdominal wall and the stomach, called the OMENTAL BURSA. It is located in the transylloric plane, a horizontal line over the abdomen at the same level as the point of the lower rib. This glandular organ sits just behind the stomach and is a sandpit between the liver on the upper side and the small intestine at the lower edge.

all parts of the pancreas, including the body of the pancreas, work together as endocrineI exocrine organ. The exocrine function of the pancreas is to produce digestive enzymes and excretion into the pancreatic canal, which eventually flows into the small intestine. In the breakdown of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, abdominal digestive enzymes help. The exocrine function of the pancreas is to synthesize and issue insulin and glucagon into the blood. These two hormones work to check blood sugar levels.

The two most common pancreatic disorders are pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. Pancreatitis occurs when digestive enzymes created by the pancreas are not excreted and react inside the pancreas, causing inflammation. This condition is marked by abdominal pain and vomiting.

pancreatic cancer has a high mortality rate because this form of cancer is difficult to diagnose and difficult to treat. Symptoms of pancreatic cancer, such as jaundice, nausea and abdominal pain, usually do not appear until cancer is well introduced and metastasized. The treatment depends on the cancer stage.

If di isAgnosticated early, the treatment of pancreatic usually involves surgery to remove the cancer part of the abdominal, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. Surgery to remove the body and tail of the pancreas is called distal pancreatic and surgery to remove the abdominal head is called pancreatodenectomy. Advanced pancreatic cancer may not be treated, except for coping with complications from the failing pancreas and make the patient comfort.
