What is an epineurium?

Epineurium are layers of connective tissue that form the outer layer of peripheral nerves contained in the human body. Peripheral nerves consist of fibers that are responsible for transferring information to and spinal cord. Epineurium is an outer layer of these nerve bundles. This layer is made of hard connective tissue, which serves as a protection for fine nerve fibers. The inner part of the epineurium closes the individual bundles of nerve fibers, also known as the fascicles. Epineurial cells, also referred to as epineur cells, form layers of this connective tissue. Therefore, this term can be applied to the cells themselves and to individual tissue layers.

The inner epineurium is surrounded by another layer of connective tissue. This layer is known as the outer epineurium. These layers cooperate on the provision of support and protection of nerve bundles or fascicles. Fat cells, also known as fat cells and blood vessels, are among the supporting structures found in the epineurium. Different nerve types affect EPIN compositionEurial cells. Without the protection of this protective coverage, the nerve fibers themselves are easily susceptible to injury. Depending on the real nerves that are damaging, many health problems may arise.

If the nerves known as autonomous nerves are damaged, involuntary body functions can be endangered together with some partially voluntary functions. Blood pressure and heart rate are bodily functions affected by this type of nerve damage. The body's ability to regulate the temperature is also controlled by autonomous nerves, as well as parts of the digestive process.

Motor Neres controls movement. Therefore, if these nerves are damaged, normal movement, especially muscle movement, may be affected. Sensory nerves are responsible for physical feelings such as pain. When this type of nerve is damaged, chronic pain sometimes becomes a problem.

Treatment of nerve -related damage related to epineurium with foxaccording to specific injuries and body functions affected by this damage. Medicines and physical therapies are often prescribed. In severe cases, or if more conservative treatment methods are not successful, surgery may be necessary to repair the nerves.
