What is the role of the respiratory system?

The human body has several systems that perform specific basic tasks to maintain the body alive and healthy. The respiratory system is one of them and performs the basic function of receiving fresh air and the exclusion of waste gases. Oxygen in the fresh air is a part that the body must take, and it is carbon dioxide that the body must exclude. Once inside the body, oxygen forms an essential part of cellular activity whose waste product is carbon dioxide.

The human body has two entrances into the body into the fresh air. It is a nose and mouth and also acts as exit points for waste gas. The nose and mouth are connected to the trachea, which is a long tube that reduces to two lungs. The lungs are areas used by the body to absorb oxygen from fresh air and eliminate carbon dioxide waste from the body. The nose and mouth of the respiratory system add heat to the air, as the way through the wind. Inside the lungs in the air moves small bags into the bloodstream.

carbon dioxide moves the other way around, from the bloodstream to the lungs. The body uses the body circulatory system to transport these two molecules. Fresh, oxygenated air moves arteries, pumped by heart and around the body to cells that require oxygen. The veins carry carbon dioxide in the opposite way, back to the lungs.

Oxygen is an important substance that people cannot live without. People and other animals must have oxygen for the necessary process within individual cells of the body. This process is the conversion of food into stored energy. Each cell must be able to release energy from storage to perform additional tasks inside the cell and without the supply of stored energy, the cells died out.

Adenosinriptosphate (ATP) is a molecule in which cells use energy to store. The digestive system covers food into simpler molecules such as glucose. Each cell then grabs glucose molecules, breaks the links between the atoms that make up the glucose molecule, and make them to jiné molecules that are, etc. To do this, the cell must use energy and atoms inside the oxygen molecules.

In science there is a chemical reaction for this; 6O 2 + C 6 h 12 o 6 = 6co 2 + 6h 2 O + 36ATP. This represents the collection of six individual oxygen molecules (O 2 ) and one glucose molecule (C 6 H 12 6 ) (H 2 O,) and 36 ATP molecules.

This chemical reaction uses oxygen and produces carbon dioxide. Since the body does not register carbon dioxide UIRE for any purpose and in fact it must move it from cells for health reasons, the body excludes it by the respiratory system. Where oxygen molecules came to the body, carbon dioxide molecules move back. Therefore, the respiratory system provides cells with a source of necessary oxygen and once uses oxygen, carbon dioxide carries waste waste.
