What is the tail bone?

Tailbone, or coccyx, is a small bony structure located at the end of the spine at the bottom of the vertebral column. In animals, Coccyx will match the tail and is therefore commonly referred to as the tail bone. It consists of three to five bone parts and remains in place inside the body through the joint and bonds.

This bone has a triangular shape and forms the back of the pelvis. The shape and size of the tail bone differs from man to man. It consists of three to five vertebrae. These vertebrae are often connected together to form a segment. The segment is usually evident in the coccyx of adults.

Most tail injuries are caused by direct trauma around the surroundings. Women are more susceptible to injury to their tail bones because they have a larger pelvis than their male counterparts and because they are able to give birth, which may also pose a risk to this area. Activities such as cycling or a series of -up can cause injury in the Coccyx area. There may also be pain during bowel movements. Some women experienceThey can be pain and discomfort during sexual intercourse. The severity of the pain may vary depending on how much pressure is exerted on the area when trauma and injury have already occurred.

To see if the Coccyx area has been damaged, it is recommended that the patient to seek professional help by going to the doctor. Usually, an X -ray of the entire spine column is taken to explore the severity of the injury. The X -ray also helps to determine whether a fracture or dislocation has occurred. A rectal test can also be carried out in which the doctor puts his finger in the rectum to determine whether the dislocation occurred.

Tail injury is called coccydynia. For medical treatment, stool softeners could have stool softeners to combat constipation. In order to face pain in this area, the patient may be injected by local anesthetics in the area and painkillers can also be administered. Removing the tail bone is another option, but it does notLittle mobility and patient are usually able to run, jump or walk with ease even after the ligaments have been cut to remove the tail bone.
