What is 3G Internet?

3G Internet refers to the third -generation wireless network technology provided by mobile phones that subscribers can use to access data faster than the previous versions. It is usually used with hardware such as mobile phones, although each device capable of 3G has access to such a network. Although in some respects it is similar to WiFi®, users usually use it to access the network at different locations. Some devices can be used to extend the network of this standard, such as routers and other wireless hardware.

Access to 3G

In Internet 3G access, a 3G user must have a compatible device such as a mobile phone or tablet. Most service providers require subscription to use their 3G networks. There may also be geographical restrictions on the provider and their coverage area.

other standards

Internet WiFi® and 3G are similar; Provide users wireless access to intErnet. The key is that 3G networks also allow users to make phone calls and access other features from mobile devices that require an Internet connection to complete. Connection to 3G network, and thus 3G Internet, is created via a data card device or internal device software.

WiFi® is mainly for surfing the Internet, and the user usually cannot make a phone call using such a connection, except via voice via the Internet protocol (VoIP) and similar technologies. Traditional WiFi® allows users to connect to the Internet from a laptop or other device that supports wireless Internet. While the user has to pay for internet connection in the house, many businesses and restaurants support local WiFi® hotspots, where customers have free access to the network.

benefits 3G

hencethat 3G networks are more accessible than WiFi®, grassy people can opt for 3G plans. Internet speeds are often slower on the 3G network than a broadband Internet connection, but the user has an Internet access to 3G almost anywhere with signal coverage. This gives it a much wider range than other networks that can be based on hotspots or hubs in certain areas.

extended networks

Those traveling for a company who want to share a 3G broadband connection between a group of peers can create a 3G network. For this purpose, the user needs a 3G router and a mod or a device that works like both. The modem connects a notebook or computer with a 3G network and the router sends a signal so that others in the same room can connect wirelessly to the Internet. One disadvantage to this type of Internet connection 3G, however, comes from the short range that covers, usually only the size of a small room.
