What Is a C-Mount?
C-type interface is used in various imaging interfaces, especially for microscope imaging systems.
C-type interface
- The "C" of the C-type interface is derived from "Camera" and is now called "C-mount". In older film projection movie players, this interface is used to connect
- The C-type interface has strict international specifications. According to the "ANSI B1.1" international standard design, the diameter of each thread of the C-type interface is 1 inch (25 mm), which is 32 turns per inch. The distance from the mounting reference plane to the focal plane of the type interface is also strictly specified as 17.526mm. In addition, there is another industry-standard CS-type interface. The distance from the mounting reference plane to the focal plane is 12.5mm.
- Type C interfaces are mainly divided into TV1.0XC, TV0.63XC, and TV0.5XC. Now it is mainly used for the installation of the third eyepiece tube of the trinocular microscope, the purpose is to realize the coupling of the optical microscope and the digital imaging equipment. Microscopic cameras, digital SLR cameras, and digital card cameras can be connected to the microscope through a C-type interface to capture microscopic images.
