What is a compact subwoofer?

In principle, a compact subwoofer is simply a small subwoofer, a speaker that processes the bass in music and rumbling effects in soundtracks. There are several ways to reduce a subwoofer, such as it is rather passive than active. Exactly what counts as compact, it depends very much on context.

Subwoofer is a specific type of speaker to transmit low -frequency sound, usually referred to as bass on the musical term. It can be used together with a pair of stereo speakers or as part of the spatial sound system. The frequency carried by a subwoofer is usually so low that people cannot detect their location. This means that, unlike normal speakers, it does not matter where the subwoofer is located, and there is no need to make sure it has the same size as other speakers.

A compact subwoofer can be either active or passive. Active means that the subwoofer has its own amplification system in its case, which requires a separate energy sourcee. The passive me of the fact that the amplification will take care of the sound source such as the hi-fi or the spatial sound receiver. In general, spatial systems use an active subwoofer and the receiver may not be able to provide amplification for a passive subwoofer. This means that a passive subwoofer may be much smaller because it does not need amplifier, which means that a compact subwoofer will be more likely to be passive.

There is no clearly defined size that would qualify as a compact subwoofer. It can sometimes be a marketing term and can simply mean the smallest unit to a certain extent. What is calculated as compact may also depend on context.

For home cinema speakers, Compact can refer to the width and depth of the subwoofer rather than its height. This is because the floor space is often more likely to be a problem. In the case of stereo cars of cars can be compaReferring mainly to depth, even if it depends on the orientation of the subwoofer in the vehicle. In computer speaker systems, the compact definition is usually much smaller than in other contexts and may indicate that the subwoofer can easily fit on the desktop or shelf.

There are several ways to save space in the production of a compact subwoofer. In some cases it is only a threat to quality and performance. In others, computer techniques can be used to adjust the sound so that the use of space in the subwoofer is most effective.
