Digital torque key uses an electronic battery mechanism that allows users to predetermine and regulate the amount of force applied when tightening screws or nuts. This type of rotating key is a more advanced version compared to traditional beam and dialing keys. Invented in 1918, the first rotating key prevented excessive secrecy of water supply accessories. The key to the torque requires recalibration once a year or more depending on the amount of use.
The rotating tool usually has a closed socket with rotating teeth at one end. The socket head setting allows you to operate clockwise or counterclockwise. Some models have a swivel head. Companies produce the key of the digital torque in three sizes, which can accommodate a set of plinths of 0.25 inches, 0.375 inches (6.35 mm, 9.5 mm and 12.7 mm). The other end usually has a specially treated grip handle. The handle can be a ron machineovershadowed or covered with a slide -resistant material.

When the measurement is close to the correct amount of torque, the device can turn on, buzz or light up. Some digital key models have green, red and yellow lights that indicate when the key applies 80% of the desired torque or achieves the desired tightness. The digital display also stores torque measurements or allows the user to download them to the computer for future use.
