What Is a Surge Suppressor?

Protects against electric shock, power surges, and other common voltage interference to DIN rail components. Support 5 RS-422 / 485 signal lines in the terminal block, 6.8V clamping voltage. HESP4DR has level protection: 1) gas discharge tube; 2) series resistance and 3) transient voltage suppressor (TVS). The HESP5DR has a # 10 ground screw to provide a solid ground connection.
