What is a TV air socket?
Television (TV) Aerial Sockets are one of the main components used to connect TV antennas to TV files. The second main part is a coaxial cable, which was equipped with compatible television aviation stoppers. In addition to this traditional use of the antenna, a television air socket can also be used in conjunction with terrestrial cable and satellite television services. Two main types of television aerial sockets are used worldwide, referring to the International Electrical Engineering Committee of the designation (IEC) 169-2 and IEC 60169-2. In the UK, IEC 169-2 was developed, or the Belling-Lee connector, while the IEC 60169-2, or connector F, is primarily found in North America.
The term "TV antenna" is usually used to indicate remotely mounted television antennas. These antennas must be connected to TVs using cables and connectors because of the fact that they are not built -in. These connections use plugs that have the same impedance value as the coaxial cable they use, so they are usually more suitable for digital applications than Belling-Lee connectors.
