What is FDMI?

FLO Display Mounting Interface (FDMI) is a standard for computer display and flat panel TVs. The mounting bracket required to connect the flat panel to the wall must have holes that are aligned with the holes pre -drilled to the rear of the display. The VIDEO Electronics Standards Association (VESA) is responsible for determining FDMI standards, which dictates not only the hole formula, but also the spacing, depth and fiber type. Products that are in line with the VESA standard can be used interchangeably so that several manufacturers can design wall holders, increase consumers' selection and market competition.

Perhaps the most common FDMI standard is known as the Standard (MIS) assembly interface -D 100; square pattern of holes with a distance of 100 mm horizontal and vertically. The holes are 10 mm deep with M4 thread. This configuration is usually found on VESA compatible displays that weigh £ 20 to £ 30 (9-13.6 kg). Larger, heavier displays use one of several other e ER Vesa, depending on a large extent on weight.

The easiest way to find a compatible parenthe FDMI for your display is to refer to the holder specifications. In most cases, suppliers will mention on the wall as compatible with displays that fall within the range of dimensions (screen size) or weight range. When shopping online, you will be able to enter TV or display the model into the search engine compatible consoles.

Some people prefer the holder that hugs the displayLie faded against Wall as much as possible. In other cases, the wall holder may be more advantageous so that the display can be tilted down, as LCD TV monitoring from sloping angles can cause some displays to look less vivid. Finally, the articulating arm can expand the TV or expose from the wall and tilt it at almost any angle, common in the waiting room and in hospitals.

The FDMI wall holder can also lock the TV on the holder and discourage theft. A specialized tool is required to remove the TV from the wall holder.

Installing FDMI holder is simple for anyone at hand with hands, but if the display is difficult, two people will have to raise HDTV on the wall in the last step. The main part contains two basic components: one is connected to the rear of the display, the other to the wall, preferably on the studs. Interface of the display holder with wall holder and locked the TV in place. Usually all hardware, including screws.

In many cases, when people shoppingHDTV on the local level, the retailer offers that it includes a wall holder at an inflated price. FDMI mounting brackets start for about $ 30 USD (USD), but for the same basic model they can be sold for $ 300, so it pays to buy around. Any steel designed steel, FDMI on the wall, which is in line with your display, will hold it safely, regardless of the price, so paying more does not necessarily get you more.
