What Is a Y Cable?

The types of electric equipment cables and power cables are mainly composed of the following seven parts:

Cable model

PVC insulated sheathed power cable
model
name
Scope of application
VV
VLV
PVC insulated and sheathed power cable
Laid indoors, in tunnels and pipes, cables cannot withstand pressure and mechanical external forces.
VV22
VLV22
PVC insulated steel tape armored PVC sheathed power cable
Laid indoors, in tunnels and directly buried soil, cables can withstand pressure and other external forces.
VV32
VLV32
PVC insulated thin steel wire armored PVC sheathed power cable
When laying indoors and in mines, the cable can withstand considerable tension.
VV42
VLV42
PVC insulated thick steel wire armored PVC sheathed power cable
It can be laid in vertical occasions such as shafts and underwater, and can bear considerable axial tension.
ZR-VV
ZR-VLV
PVC insulated and PVC sheathed flame retardant power cable
Laid indoors, in tunnels and pipes, cables cannot withstand pressure and mechanical external forces.
ZR-VV22
ZR-VLV22
PVC insulated steel tape armored PVC sheathed flame retardant power cable
Laid indoors, in tunnels and directly buried soil, cables can withstand pressure and other external forces.
ZR-VV32
ZR-VLV32
PVC insulated thin steel wire armored PVC sheathed flame retardant power cable
When laying indoors and in mines, the cable can withstand considerable tension.
ZR-VV42
ZR-VLV42
PVC insulated thick steel wire armored PVC sheathed flame retardant power cable
It can be laid in vertical occasions such as shafts and underwater, and can bear considerable axial tension.
The oil-filled cable model consists of the product series code and the code of each part of the cable structure. Self-contained oil-filled cable product series code CY. The outer sheath structure is represented by the code combination of reinforcement layer, armor layer and outer cover layer from the inside to the outside. The type of insulation, conductor material, inner sheath code, arrangement order of each code, and product display method are the same as those for power cables of 35kV and below. For example, CYZQ102 220/1 × 4 indicates the self-capacity of copper core, paper insulation, lead sheath, copper tape radial reinforcement, no armor, PVC sheath, rated voltage 220kV, single core, nominal cross-sectional area 400mm Oil-filled cable.
The meaning of the outer sheath of the oil-filled cable is
1. Reinforcement layer: 1 represents the radial reinforcement of the copper strip; 2 represents the radial reinforcement of the stainless steel strip; 3 represents the radial reinforcement of the steel strip; 4 represents the radial reinforcement of the stainless steel strip and the narrow stainless steel strip longitudinally.
2. Armored layer: 0 represents no armor; 2 represents steel belt armor; 4 represents thick steel wire armor.
3. Outer cover: 1 represents the fiber layer; 2 represents the PVC sheath; 3 represents the polyethylene sheath.
