What is a high -resolution DVD?

High resolution DVD is another great thing in video technology. It promises the quality of the invisible and resolution of previously unknown computers and TVs. Unfortunately for almost all involved, it is also a source of bitter war, which could result in the victim from all sides. The difference between the DVD for the definition of current and high resolution is more noticeable, the larger the size of the monitor, whether it is a television or a computer. Paramount, Universal and Warner have been continuing with plans to release popular HD DVD films. Blu-ray has the support of film studios Disney, Fox, MgM and Sony; Manufacturers of Electronic Arts and Vivendi Universal; computer companies Apple and Dell; and electronic companies Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Pioneer, Samsung, Sharp and TDK.

HD DVDs offer less storage than their Blu-ray counterparts. HD DVD drive capacity at 45 GB. Blu-ray discs are driven to have a maximum storage capacity of 100 GB and maybe even 200 GB. The advantage of HD DVD is, of course, that it is now available. In addition, Blu-ray discs will be more expensive and maybe in the foreseeable futureof the way.

One additional high -resolution DVD feature is added security degree. Film studios that are afraid of piracy have an increased level of concern over DVDs with high definition because its visual quality is much greater. Some protection measures will be built into high -resolution DVDs, so copying will either be limited or prevented, depending on the model and source.
