What is TDMA?

Time Division Multiple Access or TDMA is a form of technology that is used with a mobile phone function. In essence, TDMA allows you to divide each channel within the cell network configuration into three different units known as Timeslots. This channel distribution process into three different slots allows you to increase the amount of data that can be transferred simultaneously using the same amount of resources.

Using TDMA is one way of cell network is able to handle greater data transfer without creating a reduction in the overall network efficiency.
