What is a challenge for Android developers?

The Android Developer Challenge is a periodic competition for developers to create applications for Android operating system. The challenge is sponsored by Google, which originally developed by Android Technology, in Corporation with the Alliance Open Maset, for mobile phones. Android is an open source program based on the Linux operating system, so anyone can create programs for the system without having to pay license fees. The Android operating system is used on all Android brands. Other popular mobile operating systems included BlackBerry OS and Apple iOS for iPhone. Many of them consider Android to be the primary competitor of the iPhone and iOS, which has its own highly inhabited app store. The challenge was the Android response to it and provided money rewards developers to increase their range and develop Android applications, not just the iPhone operating system.

Although there are no fees that could evolve for Android applications or submit applications for this challenge, which has been carried out every year since the fall of 2008, there are limitations. Applications that are already available on the Android market, and any applications that have been entered in previous cases of the challenge cannot be re -sent. This also applies to applications that have been modified or updated from the previous challenge. Contestants must also provide their applications to judges for free, although these free versions may be the timed attempts that will expire after the competition is completed.

Also the first place of the winners of each category competed for the overall prize. The first place in this competition was $ 150,000, while cash prices for second and third were $ 50,000 and $ 25,000. There are currently no plans for the third Android Challenge challenge.
