Corporations can also organize business exhibitions or press conferences to promote a new product or brand. Other corporate events programs are less formal in nature and may include corporate picnics, retreats and motivational excursions. Corporations often hold functions such as these to educate and train current employees, provide public information, or train employees of other companies. They may be small and local, or they could include extensive planning of larger events outside the area. Media organizations such as press and television companies are some of the participants at typical press conferences.

While some business events programs are used to strengthen business in some way, others should be fun, exciting and less formal. Usually, corporate picnics are held by the company's employees and their families for relaxation and recreation. There may be a retreat to give employees a chance to relax and at the same time participate in a conference or seminar. Other times there are motivational programs that reward employees who meet preset benchmarks in areas such as sales and marketing.
