What is the agent of your own house?

Agent's own house is someone authorized to act on behalf of the Company on events concerning the import and export of goods. This sentence is most commonly used in India. Such agents must be licensed under Section 146 of the Customs Act. This is a special concern because India is traditionally a trader. In Indian business is also a high degree of bureaucracy. From a legal point of view, the agent is treated as if it were the legal owner of the goods they deal with. The exception of this is that the agent of his own house cannot normally be personally responsible for any obligation that the company does not apply.

The agent of his own house must be licensed by the local commissioner for the customs commissioner. This is a two -stage process that includes an initial temporary license. The application is open only to graduates of the university with the legal status of employment and sound finances.

To be capable of becoming an agentThe power of candidates to have experience in working in customs problems. This experience must be at least a specified time. In most cases it has been three years, but the Commissioner can reduce it to one year if the applicant makes an acceptable reason for this in writing.

Once someone has a temporary license, it has one year to become a regular license. This is done by passing a test that takes place twice a year. If the candidate did not pass by the end of the first year, they may be given a six -month or one -year extension to allow further experiments. Such extensions are only awarded to sincereates who can prove that they have carried out a specified level of work during their temporary license holder. The candidates are allowed a maximum of three attempts to pass the exam.
