What is the first pass?

The yield of the first passage is a quantitative numeric value, usually presented as a percentage, which shows that the amount of product produced is related to how much it is used in production. This term is usually used with reference to production processes and can be used for individual steps in the process or for the overall process. The value can be determined relatively easily, by accepting the number of units produced in the production and distributing this number by the number of units that have reached the production process. It may include units that pass through a process of more than once to ensure quality, while the first yield is considering only units that come out correctly.

Also called the return of permeability, the first passage yield is the percentage used to evaluate the efficiency of the production process. To determine the value of the process, someone must only have numbers indicating how many units are used to create a product and how many units are performed during this process. Additional information such as units, ktEré is originally rejected, but can be used after the second pass, they can also be useful. Although the actual analysis and the use of production data can be quite complicated, due to simplicity it is often the easiest to consider small numbers.

A simple example can be considered for a production process in which 100 units of raw materials are used for sale of 70 units for sale. This could mean the amount of sugar that is processed into candies or the amount of raw metal required to produce cutlery. The yield for this example can be determined by simply dividing the number of units produced, 70, the number of material units, 100. In this case, the yield would be equal to 0.7 or 70% of the yield.

The use of the first pass yield when considering the production or production process allows the manager to quickly evaluate the efficiency of the production process. Thythening numbers can be compared from one year to the next to consider how to improve tEchnology or production processes increases the efficiency of raw materials. Although it is similar to the first yield, there is an important difference between them. The first yield is considering only units that are based on the production process ready for sale, while the first passage value may include units that are defective, but that are going through this process to create an item of sale.
