How Do I Become a Soil Scientist?
Zhao Qiguo, a famous soil scientist and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has long been engaged in the study of soil geography and resources, and conducted systematic and in-depth research on the classification of tropical soils and resource evaluation. It is proposed that Chinese red soil has two opposing and unified characteristics of ancient weathering process and modern red soilization process. It is pointed out that the importance of red soil percolation based on the composition of permeated water and free iron is a new index for red soilization. The relationship between the development and utilization of rubber-based tropical crops and the distribution of red soil and soil properties is summarized. A tropical crop utilization grade evaluation plan based on thermal conditions and soil properties is proposed to provide a basis for the development of tropical crop development planning and layout. A solid scientific basis.
