How do I get the GI community?
Gastroenterology (GI) FELLOWSHIP is an educational program that is available for an internal physician or pediatrician, which will allow doctors to practice as specialists in gastroenterology. Applicants for GI Community must be doctors with a license who have completed a part or the entire residential program in the field of internal medicine or pediatrics. The application for scholarship is filled in online and sent to scholarship programs; These programs can then invite selected candidates for interviews. After the interviews are completed, applicants and programs are associated with a computer program. Graduation in high school, gaining university studies, completion of the Faculty of Medicine and completion of at least one year of residential training in pediatrics or internal medicine is mandatory. Doctors usually apply for GI community in the second or third year of their residence programs.
Doctors can apply for GI community through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS®). This is an online programAM, which allows doctors to develop an application and send it to any community programs they are interested in. All information must be entered in the ERAS® program by December of the year. Doctors who broadcast their requests in December will not start their scholarships for more than a year and a half; As an example, those who send their requests in December 2011 would start scholarships in July 2013.
ERAS® requires filling in information in a number of different categories. Provides a standardized way to include information that is usually on a CV. Section for educational experience, work experience, research publications, research projects, personal interests, volunteer experiences and extracurrizahrizahrihnu are essential activities. Applicants must also provide recommending letters from professors in their residence programs.
Invitations to Gi Community Interviews usually startu come in January and will continue to be sent to March. The interview season lasts approximately from January to May. Applicants are usually responsible for paying for their own travel expenses so that they can participate in interviews. The candidate will often have to arrive at the evening of the evening to attend dinner with members currently in the scholarship program. The day of the interview usually includes interviews with at least three faculty members and also includes tours of the facility.
After the applicant participates in interviews, the National Resident Consultation Showing program (NRMP) ® uses the program to include which programs would like to participate. GI Fellowship also creates a list whose applicants are of them to hire. Both sets of lists are entered online and NRMP® use a computer algorithm to compare programs with candidates. The results of the match are published in June.
