How Do I Start a Podiatry Practice?

Hand-mouth-foot disease is a rash infectious disease, mainly caused by coxsackie virus. It may occur all year round, but it is most common in summer and autumn, and it can occur at any age. Especially children under 3 years old.

Hand-foot-foot disease

Hand-mouth-foot disease is a rash
1. First, go to the hospital for treatment, take medicine as instructed by the doctor, and stay in bed.
2. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the oral skin, and clean the mouth with physiological saline every day. At the same time, pay attention to the patients to prevent their skin
Hand-foot-foot disease
Hand, foot and mouth disease is a global infectious disease, and the epidemic has been reported in most parts of the world. New Zealand reported for the first time in 1957, the Coxsackie virus was isolated in 1958, and the HFMD nomenclature was proposed in 1959. Cox A16 was the main pathogen of early hand, foot and mouth disease, and reports of hand, foot and mouth disease and EV 71 infection began in the early 1970s. In 1972, EV 71 was first identified in the United States. Since then, EV 71 infection and Cox A16 infection have appeared alternately, becoming the main pathogens of hand, foot and mouth disease.
Australia, like the United States and Sweden, was one of the first countries to develop EV 71 infection. The EV 71 epidemic occurred in Australia from 1972 to 1973, 1986, and 1999. Most severe patients were accompanied by central nervous system symptoms (CNS), and some patients also had severe respiratory symptoms. In the mid-1970s, Bulgaria and Hungary had an outbreak of EV 71 with CNS as the main clinical feature. More than 750 cases occurred in Bulgaria alone, 149 were paralyzed, and 44 died. In the United Kingdom, a hand, foot and mouth disease epidemic caused by Cox A16 broke out in the fourth quarter of 1994 in the United Kingdom. A total of 952 cases were observed at surveillance points. The patient's symptoms were calm. The country's epidemiological data since 1963 show that the interval between hand, foot and mouth disease epidemics is 2 to 3 years. Other countries such as Italy, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Romania, Brazil, Canada, and Germany also frequently cause hand, foot and mouth disease caused by various types of Coxsackie, Echovirus, and EV 71. Japan is a country with a high incidence of hand, foot and mouth disease. There have been many large-scale epidemics in history. The epidemic from 1969 to 1970 was mainly Cox A16 infection. The two epidemics in 1973 and 1978 were caused by EV 71. The main clinical Symptoms are hand, foot and mouth disease, and the condition is generally mild, but cases with aseptic meningitis have also been observed. From 1997 to 2000, hand, foot and mouth disease was active again in Japan. Both EV 71 and Cox A16 were isolated. The genotype of the EV 71 strain was also different from that in the past. In the late 1990s, the EV 71 began to ravage East Asia. A hand, foot and mouth disease epidemic mainly caused by EV 71 occurred in Malaysia in 1997. A total of 2628 cases occurred in April to August, and 29 patients died in April to June alone. The average age of the deceased was 1.5 years, the course of the disease was only 2 days, 100% fever, 62% of hand and foot rash, 66% of oral ulcers, 28% of the disease developed rapidly, 17% of limb paralysis, and 17 chest radiographs showed pulmonary edema.
The disease has been seen in Shanghai since 1981 in China, and has been reported in more than a dozen provinces and cities including Beijing, Hebei, Tianjin, Fujian, Jilin, Shandong, Hubei, Xining, and Guangdong. An outbreak of hand, foot and mouth disease caused by Cox A16 occurred in Tianjin in 1983. More than 7,000 cases occurred between May and October. After two years of epidemic outbreak, another outbreak occurred in 1986. The incidence of two outbreaks in nurseries and kindergartens reached 2 2.3% and 1.9%. In 1995, the Wuhan Virus Research Institute isolated EV 71 virus from patients with hand, foot and mouth disease. In 1998, the Shenzhen Health and Epidemic Prevention Station also isolated 2 strains of EV 71 virus from patients with hand, foot and mouth disease. In 1998, EV 71 infection caused a large number of hand-foot-mouth disease and herpes angina in Taiwan Province of China. During the two epidemics in June and October, a total of 129,106 cases were monitored, 405 were critically ill, and 78 were dead, mostly 5 In children under the age, complications include encephalitis, aseptic meningitis, pulmonary edema or pulmonary hemorrhage, acute soft palsy, and myocarditis. From May to August 2000 in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province, a pandemic of pediatric hand, foot and mouth disease broke out. In more than 3 months, Zhaoyuan People's Hospital admitted 1698 children, including 1025 males and 673 females. The ratio is 1.5: 1, the youngest is 5 months and the oldest is 14 years old. The first case occurred on May 10, peaked in July, and the last case occurred on August 28. Of the 128 hospitalized children, the average length of hospital stay was 5.1 days, of which 3 died of myocarditis.
Prevention of mouth, foot and hand disease requires attention
The key is to pay attention to hygiene. Wash your hands with soap or hand sanitizer before and after meals. During the epidemic, children should not be taken to public places where crowds gather and air circulation is poor. You can check your child's skin (mainly palms and feet) and mouth for abnormalities every morning during the epidemic period. Pay attention to changes in body temperature. [1]
