In addition to mastering the professional technical knowledge of construction projects, they should also be familiar with the economic, management, financial and legal aspects related to construction projects.

The characteristics of consulting engineers involved in management are:

(1) The job of a consulting engineer is an intellectual job. The work of consulting engineers is highly scientific and knowledgeable. It is a specific application of engineering, economics, management and other multidisciplinary knowledge and project experience in consulting work. There is no rich scientific knowledge and project work experience to support it It is impossible to complete the consulting task well. Therefore, as a consultant, you should usually pay attention to the learning of relevant subject knowledge and the accumulation of project experience.

(2) The management content of consulting engineers varies depending on the entrusted situation. 2. Organization plan implementation

According to the arrangement of the consulting work plan and the division of responsibilities and tasks of the consulting team, specific implementation plans are formulated at various levels, and the work plan is implemented by people. When it is necessary to work at the project site, the relevant regulations of the consulting industry and the enterprise site must be strictly implemented, and the relevant work must be completed with the cooperation of the enterprise.

(2) Organize implementation. In the process of project team members completing their related work according to their respective divisions of work, the project manager must carefully organize and coordinate. Although the professional ethics or standards of consulting engineers are not legal, they are quite binding on the behavior of consulting engineers. Engineering consulting industry associations in many countries have clearly stipulated that once the behavior of consulting engineers violates professional ethics or standards, they will not be allowed to engage in that profession for life. ^[3]
