What Does a Forklift Operator Do?

Forklift driver's license, as the name suggests, is a necessary professional certification for forklift drivers. Forklifts play a very important role in the company's logistics system and are the main force in material handling equipment. It is widely used in stations, ports, airports, factories, warehouses and other departments of the national economy. It is an efficient equipment for mechanized loading, unloading, stacking and short-distance transportation.

Forklift driver's license

Self-propelled forklifts appeared in 1917. Forklifts developed during World War II. China has been manufacturing forklifts since the early 1950s. Especially with the rapid development of the Chinese economy, the material handling of most companies has been separated from the original manual handling, and replaced by mechanized handling based on forklifts. Therefore, in the past few years, the demand of China's forklift market has increased at a double-digit rate every year.
"
The forklift driver's license is a special vehicle driver's license. You must apply for an examination at a forklift training base designated by the National Municipal Quality Supervision Bureau. When you apply for an examination, you must bring your original ID card and photocopy, and two one-inch photos.
According to regulations, certificates issued before 2011 for forklift trucks are reviewed every two years, and certificates issued after July 2011 are reviewed every four years, and each annual review takes four days. And the first time to get the certificate and the annual review are together, study the first 3 days, the last day of the exam, after the exam passed the annual review.
Forklift driving is a special operation. The National Safety Production Supervision and Administration Bureau issues the "Special Operation Operation Certificate of the People's Republic of China." Forklifts are generally tool vehicles and are only used in the workplace of the unit. So in general, only a post operation permit or an employment permit is required, but the general unit will require a driver's license to drive a forklift.

Forklift driving license examination

Forklift driver's practical test is divided into two major items, pile test and road test. The pile test is to use prescribed pile poles to drive and operate on a predetermined driving route (including prescribed attachments) on a site with a predetermined size standard. The purpose of the pile test is to assess the students' ability to safely control the vehicle. The road test is to perform driving operations according to a specific driving path. The purpose is to assess the students' mastery and application of the learned practical skills, master the general knowledge, the ability to adapt to the road surface, and the ability to handle incidents. The pile test is divided into the "8" driving test and the fork-loaded "I" driving test in the field. Each test is conducted in the form of a 50-point system and a deduction of errors. Road test is divided into "passed" or "failed" grades. The assessor will directly determine "passed" or "failed" according to the test standards and the actual operation of the test object (currently not implemented).
I. Pile Examination (I) "8" driving test in the venue:

Site size: A = 2 times vehicle width + 1200 mm B = length C = vehicle width + 600 mm D = length R = 2 times wheelbase length + 600mm r = length of wheelbase Driving route: use empty car , The forklift pulled out from the garage to reach 1, reversing from 1 to 2 (A warehouse), proceeding from 2 to 3, reversing from 3 to 4 (Oku), going from 4 to 5 to go 8 times, 6 to 7 From the back of 7 to the 5 and take the second 8 characters, from 6 back to the garage.
skills requirement:
1. Vehicle requirements: Forklift trucks generally use 2 ton or 3 ton forklifts, complete in structure and equipment, and in good technical condition. They are qualified by the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, and have sufficient certificates.
2. Site requirements; the size of the site must conform to the size parameters of the vehicle model, the ground must be flat and solid, and there should be no obstacles. Safety markings and signs should be set up around the site to ensure that the site and equipment are dedicated to the test. Safe operating procedures and test site regulations are conspicuously hung in the site And waiting areas have shade and rainproof facilities.
3. Time requirements: completed within 4 minutes. The timing starts from the start of the forklift to the completion of the "8" driving assessment throughout the field, and ends when a person leaves the cab. Require beeps at the beginning and end.
4, site marking requirements: painted with yellow paint, line width 50mm.
5. Benchmarking requirements in the field: the height of the pile head is 15 cm, the diameter of the pole hole is 40mm, and the fan-shaped cast iron pile head designated by the examination committee is used to ensure the stability of the benchmark and prevent the pile head from being squeezed by the wheels and flying out to hurt people. The height of the benchmark is 1500mm, and the distance between the red and white is 300mm.
6. Operating requirements:
(1) The forklift is fully open and the vehicle is running empty.
(2) Drive strictly according to the prescribed route. (3) Honk at the start and turn on the turn signal when starting and turning (except for 8-character driving. (4) Do not run into piles during driving. The engine must not be turned off for no reason.) (5) During driving. After parking, no part of the vehicle can go out of the line and press the line. (6) The car must not start in the opposite direction. (7) When you are reversing, you must look backwards. Make sure that it is safe. (12) The wheel must not frequently swivel to the left or right while driving or the speed is too high during cornering. (13) Do not leave your steering wheel at the same time while driving (14) After the operation is completed, the entire vehicle must be parked in the garage, pull the handbrake, be in neutral, the fork should land horizontally, and beep (15) to obey the command, and there must be no violations of laws and disciplines.
7. Evaluation requirements: Assessors should be familiar with the scoring standards and strictly follow the grading items in the evaluation scoring table. As individual items contain a lot of content, such as the item "No standard action or unskilled operation" in the assessment details, you must grasp the scoring scale when evaluating, because the driving operation essentials are head, eyes, neck, body, hands, legs, and feet. There are specific requirements for other parts: such as being unable to enter the gear multiple times, swinging on both sides of the direction during driving, unstable speed control, slipping after starting, etc., which are unskilled operations. Attention must be concentrated during the assessment to be fair and just , Accurate score.
8. There is a second chance for the 8-character driving test on the court. The first time is unsuccessful, and the second time can be performed. However, the order of the second re-examination is determined by the examiner according to the actual situation of the candidate.
(II) Forklift "I" driving test

Site size: A = Total vehicle length + 500mm B = 2 times the vehicle width C = Car width D = 1300mm M = 2A + B (mm) N = B + B + B (mm), the two pallets have the same driving route: Forklift From the garage to 1, fork up a pallet and reverse to 2; from 2 to 3; lower the pallet and reverse to 4; from 4 to 5; fork the remaining pallet to 6 and from 6 to 7. After dropping the pallet, reversing to 8 and then proceeding to 9, fork up the two pallets and back to 10, drive from 10 to 11, and drop the two pallets and reversing to garage 12.
