What Does a Mandarin Tutor Do?

The Putonghua Proficiency Test (PSC: PUTONGHUA SHUIPING CESHI) is a spoken test corresponding to the standardization and proficiency of Putonghua. The form of examination is oral. The level of Putonghua is divided into three levels and six levels, that is, one, two, and three levels. Each level is divided into two levels of A and B; the first level is the highest, and the third level is the lowest. The Putonghua proficiency test is not an assessment of eloquence, but a test and assessment corresponding to the standardization of the testee's mastery and use of Putonghua. It is a test of the standard Chinese of the test taker. Teachers in primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, and off-school education units must have a level of Putonghua of not less than Grade II, of which Chinese teachers must be not less than Grade A, and Mandarin voice teachers not less than Grade One; Grade A, among which modern Chinese teachers are not lower than Grade A, and Mandarin phonetic teachers are not lower than Grade 1; teachers of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, Mandarin level is not lower than Grade A, etc.
Those who apply for the qualifications of primary and secondary schools and kindergarten teachers must have a level of Putonghua not lower than Grade 2.
Students of normal majors and vocational schools at all levels are closely related to spoken language, and their level of Putonghua is not lower than Level 2.

The Putonghua Proficiency Test consists of four test items, with a total score of 100 points.
1. Read 100 monosyllabic words with a time limit of 3 minutes and 30 seconds, accounting for 10 minutes. Purpose To Examine Candidates
Candidates can obtain the "National Mandarin Proficiency Test Level Certificate" after the test. The "National Mandarin Proficiency Test Level Certificate" is uniformly produced by the National Language Working Committee. The test results and corresponding grades of the candidates will be recorded in the certificate.
The Administrative Measures for Putonghua Proficiency Test (trial) issued in 1997 stipulates that the validity period of a Putonghua proficiency certificate is 5 years, and the assessment will be re-examined after the deadline.
The "Administrative Measures for Putonghua Proficiency Test", which was revised in 2003 (officially), canceled the reference to the validity period of Putonghua proficiency certificates.
Since 2011, the Mandarin certificate style has been revised. The old version contains the date of birth and the new version is cancelled. The old version does not have an ID card number and the new version is added. The new version increases the test time. All are stamped with the official seal of the National Language Working Committee and the steel seal of the test center. And changed from the original form to paper, with a certificate shell.
